Default Exchange rules Server Side \ Client Side

Some told me that in order to have a simple rules (transfert folders) that will not transfer the mail to the blackberry as well, you need to have your setup rules in server side. However it seems easy with Exchange 2000, it looks nearly impossible to me with 2003. I'm about to crack !!

If mail gets transferred to a folder then you need to set up folder redirection for that folder if you want to receive email that gets moved into that folder on your BB. You can do this in Desktop Manager or on your BB. I don't currently have DM installed so I can't give you step-by-step instructions for it but on your BB:

1. Go to Messages->Options->Email Settings
2. Open the menu and select Folder Redirection
3. Expand your mailbox and check folders to redirect to your BB
4. From the menu choose Save and then Close

By default only your Inbox is redirected. You have to tell it which other folders you want to redirect.
