Talking Thinking of getting BB for Sister for her Bday...

Please Login to Remove!

...who's heading off to her University this year at Queen's University (Ontario, Canada), in the Commerce Program.

Thus, I was wondering which kind of BB do you guys recommend? I've browsed through the net, trying to find different kind of providers of BB here in Canada - so far only Rogers:
http://www.shoprogers.com/store/wire...Q4TP8DQ7NFEWT5
and Bell:
The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition from Bell

So, which model/program do you guys recommend for her? For a freshman student in a commerce program :P

Any tips/pointers are appreciated!

(off to read more about BB availability and prices and in Canada~)

for a college student, are you also going to provide her the cost of the data package to USE the BlackBerry for the year? Without the BlackBerry Data Plan, she will have a pretty phone with SMS ability, nothing else. Like a car with four flat tires.
What do I need a Data Plan for? - BlackBerryFAQ

I would recommend the 8100 for a college student.

Yes on the Dataplan...but not sure on how much data she'd need per month.

Pearl (8100)- if she wants phone like small blackberry with compact keyboard. Note- it is good for reading emails but you can get tired typing too many on that keyboard.

Curve (8300)- if she needs a camera and full keyboard.

8800 from Rogers or 8830 from Bell for business/professional like blackberry with no camera and not looking as cute and as cool as two above. Extra bonus of 8800/8830- they do have GPS.
