Would it use up lots of data using VNC viewer? I am on a 7MB/month plan and need to use VNC regularly....I'm just not sure if it uses alot of data, or a little, or what. Anyone have any opinions?

I would think it would. I think heavy users of Google Maps go through a lot of data, and would be willing to wager that using a Remote Control tool would do the same.

Off-Topic, what about using Yahoo Messenger? Would using that regularly use lots of my data plan up too?

If it is the Messenger application built in to the phone I believe that one uses SMS messages. I purchased a third-party program called JiveTalk, which does use Data. However, I don't think it uses that much. I am not 100% sure about that, though.

I use the Yahoo Messenger app on my BB. Is that the one you mean?

It depends how you use VNC and which client/sever you use. I know TightVNC has very good compression and a mirage driver that knows exactly where the screen updates are and only sends what is essential. If you enable compression, use a solid background color on the PC desktop, and reduce the image quality, I'm pretty sure the data transferred will be minimal. This, of course, depends on the amount of usage. YMMV.
