Default Ringtones Unlocked

Please Login to Remove!

I've seen many people complain that the new OS versions have different ringtones and they want the old ones back. Others only want a few of the preloaded tunes and don't want the whole .cod file taking up precious space.

If only there was a way to extract the individual ringtones...

Oh, wait, there is.

Combined tunes from sonicnetworks and tunes8700g bundles.
Split into 2 parts due to 100KB attachment size restriction.

Thanks! I tried to install the .cod and was able to do so (using the .cod and .alx) from all indications but I couldn't see any new ringtones when I did so, and finally gave up and uninstalled.

This is great -- thanks a mil!

hi, I have a stupid question that may seem obvious.. how do I transfer the mp3 ringtones to a BB with the 4.1 OS? I tried emailing it and there is a message that comes up saying that the file is in an unrecognisable format.. many thanks..

OS 4.1 must be downloaded from a website, directly from the BB browser.

So if you have a specific mp3 ringtone you want on your BB, upload it to a site like yahoo briefcase or the google one from your PC, and then access it from your BB.

You can also place the files on a microSD card either directly from Windows or by using Media Manager.
