Question BB 7520 (Nextel) and midi ringtones

Please Login to Remove!

So the BB 7520 can supposedly play .midi ringtone, but when I take a .midi file and email it to the 7520, it does not show up as an attachment. I wonder if the 7520 can only "download" ringtones from a WAP page?

Anyone done midi ringtones successfully?

I'm using a 7520 also and you pretty much nailed it on the head, you can't use midi attachments; you have to download them.

Is it possible for a developer to make software for the BB7520 to be compatible with WAVs?

If RIM could only get their act together and add a speaker phone to the regular form-factor devices like the 72XX series- seems strange they only put a speaker phone into the 7520 and nothing else (ecept the 71XX series).

yes MIDI ringtones does play in your BB 7520. But you can't upload it through as an email attachment. You can only upload your through WAP Browser using WML not HTML

the website where you want to get your ringtones from should have information on how to appload it to your device
