Question How much are you paying for your unlimited plan?

Please Login to Remove!

I am interested to know how much others are paying for unlimited data plans for their BBs. I have yet to sign up for one and need to justify the expense. Thanks.

I am with EarthLink and the unlimited data plan is 39.95. If you want voice add another 39.95 for 500 minutes.

You're not using your BB for voice then?

Do you think that having a choice of separate plans for data and voice better than a single plan for both?

Discobay,
Yes, I am using the BB for data right now and have a Verizon cell phone. I would have upgraded my Verizon cell phone to the BB but Verizon does not offer discounts on equipment to existing customers. When my Verizon contract ends I will probably cancel and transfer/port my cell service & number to EarthLink since the combined data/voice plan is about $10/month less than Verizon. The coverage will be the same since EarthLink is using Verizon's network.

Will miss the camera phone.....

Ditto, however I would say you get what you pay for. My speeds range from a smooth 2kbs to 16kbs... The web part is almost unuseable.

You didn't direct this at me, but you seem to be interested in why somebody would use a data only plan...

I too use earthlink and pay $39 a month for the unlimited plan (data only/no voice).

My home based business requires me to stay in constant contact with clients whether it is by email, instant messaging, or the web.

I've also been blessed with a full time job that is laid back enough that I am able to do this pretty effectively. (I work in a factory. My job is to monitor the machines. As long as they are running, and they are 95% of the time, I really have nothing else to do).

Being locked into a US Ceullar contract I have no use for a voice plan at this time. Even when the contract is up, Cingular, in my opinion, offers much better family plans than Earthlink does when you consider the fact that we use our cell phones as our primary phone lines (no home phone line, most of our family uses Cingular too).

For those reasons, and the fact that incoming calls on BBs always get directed to voicemail while using the data network, are why use the data only plan.

I'm sure there are other reasons why people will order the data only plans...

since someone asked........my reason to have data only is because i like my phone and it's from sprint and didn't want to port the number especially since T-Mobile isn't the greatest in the NYC area as i've recently found out. with that said, i am still able to forward my aol email to my BB, check weather, directions, surf the web kinda and IM since i'm usually on the go. I would have considered switching completely to T-Mobile but Sprint seems to be fine for actual calls which is what i need as well. not to mention i'm into tech gadgets & toys.

verizon cell plan 40
ins 4.99
unlimited data 49.99
95$ a month-20% discount from my employer

I figure most people spend 75 a month on just their phone, so I can have unlimited data, text, and voice for the same I should take it. I am still trying to figure out after having it for only one day if the BB is worth the extra for me, but I actually find the call qulity exceptional, text messaging hugely easier, and am very happy with not hvaing to constantly have my powerbook on my lap, I can now do my email this way, it also makes my girlfriend happier that I am not on the computer every 10 seconds checking my email

How much do you pay in taxes?
What is the breakdown on the taxes?
What is the cheapest state for these taxes?
