We were talking about coverage and impact in another thread here about IMAP email, but it bears pointing out again. California in the United States had a massive outage courtesy of Cingular wireless.

GPRS outtage leaves people without data service in may locations, some spots don't have GSM/voice service either.

Make sure to apply the appropriate amount of pressure if you are going to depend on your BlackBerry and it isn't the old-school models!
