Today at 945pm She awoke!! from the watery chocolate milk accident, she began to breathe. However, she is not without her side effect the escape key now functions as the z and o key depending on which one it feels like. the phone key sometimes acts as the 89 key. She randomly displays messages, but there is good news. All the info just backed up to my desktop and she is on and i did successfully make a phone call. It will probably take a little more time for things to work out. Either that, or the effects will be permanetly disabling. We can only wait and see.

Assuming you're unable to claim warranty...

If the BlackBerry is still functioning in a malfunctioning manner, then disassembling and rinsing the contacts with damp Q-Tips may be all you need. (repeated rinse-and-dry with wet and dry Q-tips). If corrosion is visible on the key contacts, use a pencil eraser followed by an alcohol wipe, followed by dry Q-tip, followed by wet Q-tip followed by dry Q-tip.

If this does not work, then a disassembled distilled water motherboard bath may still be required (sans screen, sans casing), but this may not be necessary.

Mark, I'v read all the threads about wet blackberrys, and I'm having some strange behaviour since mine decided to take a bath in the toilet.

I took away the battery right away, I dryed it out with a hairdryer for a long time and put the battery again... voila !
It turned on OK, connected to the network, synchronized mail... everything !!! BUT ... never stops vibrating, what I'm missing ??

Thanks !

It is very nice to learn about wet BlackBerry. I want to test mine but don't want to take the risk. Anyway one day may come without my will.
