has RIM said anything? all i see is second hand statements but maybe i missed something in the 220+ posts

still not working where i am.
resent my service books earlier today. got a few emails
then it stopped.
did like 3 battery pulls. emails came for a lil then stopped again.
its almost 12am here in florida. literally on my laptop to get email..

problems here too, Minneapolis, MN since the late morning. BIS accounts on Tmo Verizon and ATT are mostly stalled, while our BES server is working fine.

My advice, sleep it off, and fix it in the morning!

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but I can't contain myself anymore, so here's the truth.

I killed RIM's BIS infrastructure to teach them a lesson for disabling the GPS on the VZW 8830.

I'll bring the systems back up once they release a firmware update to unlock it. Sorry everyone's had to pay for their mistake.

There, now that I got that off my sholders I'm sure to sleep better tonight. LOL

Oh yeah, almost forgot... still no BIS here or for my clients on other carriers. Have a good night.

I thought it was because I put that filter on my phone that I wasn't recieving email.

hmmm 12:35am, I just got 9 emails randomly as I sit here about to complain....fixed?

I was shown an email from RIM a couple hours ago. The issue has not yet been contained and has spread to affect all BIS users in some way. There is still no ETA on fixes.

As of now I can send but still not receive.

I don't think so. I think RIM's satelites spying on you saw you almost ready to post a complain and they decided to BIS spurt you some emails to distract you.

I am in the DFW area in TX and I just got all my emails finally

anyone want to guess the amount of money lost due to the outage? either IT time responding to people or missed sales ect.
I saw that people were getting angry earlier, mods too, hopefully it will be over by morning.

I think I'm getting my email regularly, but am unable to open attachments. Anyone else having this problem?

I've had the 8300 for a few months now with no problems. Today, I joined a forum and got the confirmation email about 20 times to my Blackberry (once to my computer). Is this related?

Anyhow, the first problem, but annoying.

it's 10:57 pst my emails have just arrived, the first since 6am. Coupled with the yahoo problems last week, this is the second screw up in a week.

I'm cautiously optimistic... I sent myself 3 emails from my PC to the BB (different email accounts) and they arrived as usual.

I just started to have normal email activity on my phone after having spotty service at best. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's fixed for the time being.

It's 4:50am here and all seems to be ok, NJ.

Seems to be working now for me, Ontario on Telus.

Did the normal troubleshoot (hard reset, host routing table-register now and resent service books) and still no go with yahoo email in the Philly suburbs :( I did some test emails and the cingular.blackberry.net emails hit, but not yahoo.

Got a bunch of backlogged emails between 4 and 530AM. Then the last one arrived 30 minutes ago. I think that's the last of them Hopefully all is well now...

Looks like things are back to normal here in Phila on VZW. Sent 3 test messages to my BB address and got them within 10 seconds. Hope the worse is over.

Getting random emails...and getting some over 15 minutes late. However, when I hit delete on computer and handheld, it only deletes them on the BB and not on the computer? When I delete them from the computer, they are not deleted on the BB?

Now what is up???

the BB reconciles the actions i think every 15 minutes
if you select your menu and find the Reconcile Now option
and do that... then check your inbox(maybe refresh it or so)
you'll see it deletes it from both boxes.

But deleting it from the computer.. only deletes it from the pc as far as i know
you have to delete it off the handset as well.

Working, but spotty.

I got my e-mails during the night at about 1:30 Eastern time. I figure they've finally gotten the backlog down.

all I can say is wow I am glad I was busy yesterday and didnt even realize there was a problem. Some people have such bad attitudes i would have probably been banned for responding to them.

Ive been on a BB for 4 years and the outages have always been minimal and scarce. Wish I could say the same thing about my Cable service with comcast they go down four time a week.

grrrr--missed my chance again.

E-mail outage hits some BlackBerry users

VZW in the S.F. Bay area. GMail is being delivered to my BB promptly, but my Yahoo-hosted email is still not coming through. No bueno!

I seemed to have gotten all my mail about 5:30 this morning (Eastern Time) but I noticed that I can not seem to open attachments (pictures) that I was always able to open before.

I tried doing a wipe and reinstall and even made sure that Blackberry Attachment Service was installed.

Still having problems:
-Getting instant email to
-10-20 minute delay for my yahoo & sbcglobal accounts (and some emails still haven't come in yet)

me too was actually a nice friday lol I thought it might have been a holiday lol. I got a few emails on my personal account but nothing from work which was great

I seem to be getting emails hit and miss and I'm on VZW. I got a one email about 5 times last evening and a couple of other duplicates. Others started to trickle in later. This morning, I had 5 emails and then when I checked my laptop, I had other emails in my account that hadn't been pushed to my BB. I'm VERY new to the whole BB/smartphone thing so sending books, or whatever, and other technical things are unfamiliar. Not sure if I should do these things or not because I don't know how they work and what they effect.
