For some reason the syncing between handheld and and BES stopped working when it comes to read messages. All of them on the bb are showing as unread for all of the users.
Any suggestions?

Hi Goran,

Got the same issue several times.
Hard to find exact reason but BB architecture looks sometimes fragile.
The radical way to fix that is
- delete the user on the BES
- wipe the handheld device
- recreate the user on the BES
- set new EA pw
- do the EA on the BB

But you probably have done this already, haven't you ?

To confirm, you have the Email Reconciliation on the device set to 'Mailbox & Handheld', and the read/unread status is not syncing?
