This issue started on Friday, and has increased from just 1 user to 4 in just 4 days. My 7100i normally flys through BB Messenger without issue, but recently it has not been receiving messages from 4 individual contacts utilizing 2 Nextel 7100i's, Nextel 7520, and a T-Mobile BB Pearl of varying software versions. I have wiped the handset and did a clean uninstall/reinstallation of the OS with and without the messenger, downloading the messenger wirelessly, killed my connection with my BES and added myself back in as a new user, killed my BIS acct and added myself back in as a new BIS user, deleted all the service books and resent them to the handset from consumer Nextel BIS and from the BB Admin site. NOTHING WORKS. It is always the same 4 users I can send to with no problem and even get the delivered/read notice, but when they send to me they see the message was delivered but not read and I don't get anything at all. I see the icon that they are typing, but the individual conversation reflects a blank screen other than what I typed and sent previously.
I am able to send messages via MMS and PIN without issue or any significant delays, plus email service through the BIS and BES works flawlessly.
Does anybody know anything I can do? RIM was no help what so ever, after 45 minutes waiting on hold I was told that I should go into my BIS acct and resend service books. Yeah, I would rather not call them again, that was a huge waste of my time
FYI... I am upgrading to the Sprint 8830 within the next 2 weeks (already ordered, just waiting on shipping), will the new unit resolve the issue when service is transferred?
