Default *Official* what is the next greatest GSM blackberry for 2008?

Please Login to Remove!

Ever year there is a exclusive phone that every one waits for, who save their money for, who sells their previous BB for. A phone that is greater than its predecessor. With the release of the 8300 series in 07, the 8100 series in 06, the 8700, series in 05. In 2008 what will be the exclusive phone that everyone wants? What features? 8400,8500, and maybe the 9000 series

Based off the 8300 series as the ultimate BB. Especially my 8320 we should assume some great leaps into the direction of the greatest BB device ever.

My assumptions will be:
Hardware
3.2 mega pixel camera
GPS/Wifi/ and GSM 3g bands support all in one.
Increase resolution in the screen and/or size

Software
Html email rendering by next year. I know its coming to BES so maybe for BIS
Better syncing off 3rd party mail providers
Improve menu looks

A more powerful processor would be at the top of my list.... 3G is nothing more than a gimmick in my book... Camera, can care less.... GPS and WiFi, oh ya, now you are taking

A much more powerful processor.... How did I forget that!!!

500mhz sounds about right?

But you could use the 3g speeds to closed threads much faster from the mobile site on the go. Since you are MOD

More processor and more memory/storage. Where is that 8 gig BB that I have been searching for?

GS and WiFi would be good additions. 3G isn't high on my priority list either, nor is a camera.

Same form factor as a Curve.
GPS.
WiFi/UMA/3G/BT2.0
3MP camera with autofocus.
24 fps video capture.
Hydrogen cell that will run for a month without recharge.
2 GB DDR memory.
Simultaneous voice/data over all protocols.

But if I can't have all that...I'll be happy with a faster processor, a bit more memory (128?), 3mp camera, GPS and WiFi all in one case, Curve form factor please!

Flash memory has dropped in price, so I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we see a huge increase in that arena. Then again...

Yea they should up it to 256 from 64mb. You really wouldnt have to worry about the deleteing call logs, etc etc part.

Default Official* what is the next greatest GSM blackberry for 2008

From what I hear GPS and WIFI will never be in the same unit. With the new curve you loose GPS. So what is more important to you Wifi or GPS. For me its 8800 all the way.

This for future blackberries not the curve. The reason its not in the curve because of the current form factor but next year there will be a different model

I hear flash memory is going to be heavily taxed in Canada (~$2/Gb.) Makes it more expensive for RIM, or at least us who have to buy it from them.

We need faster processors and more memory, first! Then we need to keep decent battery life and a good keyboard. 3G is nice to have an all, but you get better throughput on 3G data cards in your notebook.
