Default duplicate email ? (i've searched & found nothing) - 10-03-2007, 06:12 PM

my company does not have BES and we're not on exchange - so, i asked my IT guy to forward a copy of all my work emails to my att.blackberry.net email address. i'm now receiving emails on both my bb and my work pc (outlook), however i'm getting two copies of e'thing on my bb.

is there a simple fix to this?
can i mask my blackberry.net email so that when i respond to clients, it doesn't show the address?

i can't use the re-director since i'm not on an exchange server.

help - i can't handle these duplicte emails.

thanks

Have you also set up the account on BIS? If so, that would produce these symptoms.

Stop the forwarding to the @blackberry address or log into the BIS site and remove the BIS account.

It's an either/or condition:

a) Stop the forwarding process that the IT guy implemented, and simply use BIS to get your emails, or.....

b) Eliminate the search on BIS for the office email, and simply let the forwarding process work as you had intended.
