Default Register BIS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys/girls.
Need some help please.

Got a account with t-mobile, BB8100 , works fine, can login to T-mobile Bis site to manage emails,

I also have another BB8100, When I try to register this new username n password etc. but i get the following message.

" This BlackBerry is registered with a different service provider. Please re-register this BlackBerry and verify the URL matches the one provided by your service provider. "

Any ideas, this handset is t-mobile locked, anyway i can find out where the pin is registered.?

I am assuming that you purchased the device used. You will need to call the carrier and ask them to release the PIN.

You really need to reach the person who sold/gave you the BB and have them cancel their BIS account. That releases the PIN and IMEI so you can use it to set up your account.

If that fails, you can try contacting their carrier, and then escalating to RIM if they can't/won't help.

One caveat however, if the device as reported lost or stolen or the owner's account is in arrears, there isn't much you can do.

If you are using two different BIS accounts, I have found that you can't close one BIS site and open another without (at minimum) first closing your browser. The cookies BIS leaves behind seem to provide information to one BIS that affects opening another BIS account without doing so (starting your browser session over). See if that helps.

I think only one handheld per BIS account. If you want to use the other hone you have to get a separate BIS account and I think with t-mobile is 19.99

Are you taking your SIM card out of the old 8100 and putting it in the new one? If so, you have to go to T-Mobile's BIS page on your computer and use the "Change Devices" option. They'll ask you for the PIN and IMEI of the new Blackberry you want registered. Then on the new 8100 go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table and use the Blackbery menu button to get "Register". Once you get the confirm email that your device is registered with the network, use your computer and the same BIS page to Resend Service Books.

Don't forget to tell your BB Messenger contacts you have a new PIN.

Absolutely! In fact, it's required whenever you change Blackberrys and use the same SIM card, no matter the models involved.

You need a Blackberry data plan to get some icons. Once you have a B data plan on your account and get the service books sent to your BB, they should show up.

Are you actually trying to register 2 BBs on the same BIS account? I am a bit confused with all the posts back and forth.

If so, you cannot do that. Each BB needs its own BB dataplan and its own BIS login. You will have to create separate BIS logins with different user names for each BB. Then you need to set up the email on the second BB, just as you did for the first.

Ok, Ill start again. Sorry its bit complicated.
Ok, I have a T-mobile contract and I have added Blackberry Data onto my account.

Initially the blackberry pearl i had was registered via o2, it was removed from o2 after i called up customer services.
After it had been removed i had problems registering it on t-mobile BIS site, when i called up t-mobile they said that the new BIS servers requires users to register via the handset and it cannot be registered via the web-site anymore, Now the way to register on the handset is, you should have a icon "email set-up" this icon isn't shown on the handset, so what I did to register was type the url of the T-mobile BIS site on the actual handset, Bingo! that let me create a user name and password, no problem,
Last problem is Im not getting my service books, I can browse the net, BB messenger works, just e-mails dont.....

hope that makes sense guys, any help appreciated
