Default prepaid data plans in UK

Please Login to Remove!

i travel to UK for about 2 months a year anyone know of a prepaid data/voice plan there.

No, we're not that advanced. All carriers offer prepay SIMs which - in theory - would work but I've never tried it and none of the carriers have any info saying it works.

You really shouldn't try to confuse the carrier reps like that, it's not nice. They aren't the brightest folks in the world...

I've used a pre-paid SIM in my BlackBerry 7230 and 7100X and they work fine but a BlackBerry data tariff is a subscription service and so is not supported on pre-paid tariff's. Your phone will be able to make and receive calls & text messages but no email functionality.

You could try O2; they are able to forward all emails sent to your O2 email account (you get one when you buy your pre-paid SIM and register it online) to your mobile as a text message. You are charged GPB 0.10-0.12 for each message sent or received by your mobile device.

O2 do offer pre-paid Bolt-On's where a said amount is deducted from your pre-paid credit each month (a subscription styled structure); perhaps they could offer a BlackBerry data tariff Bolt-On in the future?
