hey...when i try to do anyting on desktop manager, it says something about encrypting and asks me to move my mouse around,
does you know what this is about?

and also my computer does not recognize my device in the Roxio program

That is how you generate encryption key using Desktop redirector. Just keep moving until it is done...

For Roxio you need to have OS 4.2 on your 8700c. If you have 4.1 or earlier it won't work.

i have desktop software V4(1).2 SP2 (ENG)

where can i download this OS 4.2? and how do i get it on my 8700c?

Blackberry Desktop Software v4.2 (SP2)

It goes on your computer. That's the software that talks to your Blackberry and manages backups, syncs, media, etc.

thanks i downloaded that but how do i get it on my 8700,
