Default 3rd party app billing

Please Login to Remove!

How can we prevent employees from downloading pay for play apps like XM, ring tones, games, etc.

We have a mixture of AT&T Curves and Pearls with unlimited data plans.

Do we control that through the BES or does AT&T control that?

Advice?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Control it through BES sir just have to implement a policy and push it to the devices

You can control it through the BES. In IT policies go to security policy group and set disallow 3rd party downloads to true. Then send the IT policy to the user.

And then they will all come here asking why they can't download apps...

Is there a way to just prohibit downloads of apps that cost money or is it an all or none situation?

All or nothing. The BES can't determine what products cost and which don't.
