Delete an aplication, pull battery out, wait for a few minutes, reinstall yahoo messenger.

thank you for the suggestion. unfortunately, this did not solve my problem...
out of curiousity, is just deleting the app enough, or do i need to delete service books and anything else? if so, which are the service books? i looked at the list and its not entirely clear. thanks.

EDIT: i figured it out. the module for the old version was still there. deleted and problem solved!
