Unhappy Problems using 8700f as a modem

I have the latest version of desktop and Wireless handheld (EDGE) v4.1.0.319 (platform 2.0.0.134)

When i try to use the blackberry to connect to the net i get a message

Error 692: there was hardware failure in the modem ( or other connecting device)

any ideas

i can connect using another blackberry model but not mine

No sorry did not get any replies. It might be a software upgrade for the handheld. but finding software for 8700f is hard

I guess you are certain you've set everything up correctly? (And, you are able to do ok with other blackberrys.)

I guess you tried a hard reset?

What about wiping the blackberry and reinstalling the OS?
