White spot on my key

Ok, so tody I went to make a phone call, and looked down at the keys while I was dialing, when I noticed that there is a white spot on my "talk" key. Granted, keypads wear down with time, but I have only had my phone for since the end of Septemer. I am really disappointed, I dont use that button that often. Anyway, anyone else had problems with premature wear on the keys?

I haven't had wear on my keys at all.

I do know that you can guy new key pads though. Does anyone have the link?

Yea, I'm familiar

I just don't feel like I should have to buy a new one. This phone is brand new. I would imagine that RIM will say its cosmetic and the warranty won't cover that. Who knows!

I've noticed the "bump on my 5/D key" has the paint worn off of it already.

Do you have a black or silver keyboard? I would expect it from the black keyboard, not so much from the silver.

Mine Too! ... I think it happened when I dropped the Blackberry at the rosebowl, but not sure. I know I didn't have the phone but a week before I noticed the glowing white bump.

Well

I am gonna try to call RIM and see if they will replace just the keyboard I guess.

Is it all the keys that are wearing down or just certain ones?

rjansen3 11-12-2007 01:28 PM

only
