Default Using 8800 as a modem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there

I have an 8800 and I'm just wondering if it can be used as a modem in the same way as an 8100.

And if it can be would anyone know that I am using it in such a way - i.e. would it show up on any logs anywhere?

Just wondering because it's a company BB and I wouldn't want to try it if it could potentially be noticed.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It can be used as a modem. Don't know about the rest

Default Two Methods available

1) [User] HOWTO: Use BlackBerry As Modem For Laptop!

2) MobiShark Online Blackberry Store: Shark Modem Application

The first one did not work for me (Verizon), but the second one worked fine. Slow, but works in a pinch.
