I have a very basic BES question/problem and I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions. I'm having trouble with my calendar staying synced on my 8830to the point that I may have to give up on the device. Email is perfect, but appointments that are clearly on my outlook calendar, aren't on my BB. Is the calendar supposed to actually sync and mirror outlook, or are appointments pushed to the device? If I'm occasional in an area with poor signal, could that be the problem?

I switched themes back and forth and now everything is there again. Is this somehing that just "happens" or is there something that I need to look into?

I had a user with this problem as well. I believe it was related to poor signal strength. I had the user turn off wireless reconciliation in the calendar options and then save it. Then had the user turn reconciliation back on. Within approx 4 hours everything was a mirror image!

My old calendar entries have disappeared. This started about one week ago. I have an 8800, am on a BES and all entries are in Outlook. I have no entries from January 21, 2008 back, except ones that are recurring entries that also occur after that date. I have tried rebooting the device (multiple times), turning off wireless sync, saving it and turning it back on (multiple times), and this has not worked. I have also called our tech support at work and restarted the enterprise activation. I have about 22 mb of memory available. Any other suggestions?

go into your calendar, press the menu key, and select options. Scroll down to 'keep appointments', what is it set to. It sounds as if you have it set to 30 days.

after working with the BES admin at my work because the rest of our group is too scared to learn how a bb works i have been taking alot of these issues...

diagnosis procedure...

Send a pin to the device to test it....
wipe the hand held
perform a battery pull
have the BES admin recreate the account on the bes you will have to wait like 10 min
now you need to have a signal strengh of 3 bars or more (i have had trouble at anything lower then that) reactivate the device on the bes
monitor the update and THAT should solve any problems

Sorry. I should have included in my post that the calendar option is set to "forever." I will try wiping the handheld and then re-activating the BES.
