Default AT+T 8830 and www.hotmail.com

I am an MSN premium client and recently upgraded from the 8700 to the 8830. I used to go to Sign In to access my contact list and the other hotmail data. On my new phone I get a message "Windows Live ID requires JavaScript to sign in. This web browser does not support JavaScript, or scrips are being blocked". I'm not a techie at all, and my support guy is out of town. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
