Default Tether with AT&T 8700C? Is it possible?

Please Login to Remove!

I searched for "Tether" in subject only, and the results seem to be inconclusive. Is it possible to use AT&T/Cingular as a EDGE Bluetooth (or USB cable) modem?

I have a laptop with built in Bluetooth, and I used to be able to use my old T-Mobile phone as a Bluetooth modem. It was pretty slow, but nice to have in a pinch.

Work gave me a Blackberry 8700C with a BES plan - is it possible to tether with this company? If so, does anyone have a link?

Thank you!

You can tether an 8700 via the USB cable. Sorry, no bluetooth tethering with that model.

Cool - TMobile used to have certain user ID and passwords to use in the setup - do you have a link to this information?

Thank you.

I think I got it - I found the link to Cingular Communications Manager, and then the fact that you have to turn this on with your account
