Default Passwords and locks

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
I have a blackberry 8700G and was wondering if anyone could help me with 2 questions:

1 - I've notice that everytime i delete a text or email from the messages it simultaneous deletes from the email folder!! How to i delete text messages / emails from the messages without simultanious delete the emails?

2 - is there any way possible to locks the text messages or email applications and only open it with a password. I use to have a motorola phone that was able to do that.
Thanks

In your e-mail app
Go to options
E-mail reconciliation
You have choices as to where your e-mail will be deleted.

There isn't a way to password protect the SMS and e-mail folders natively on the BlackBerry.
