I am looking for a way to view just SMS messages, so that they are not combined with my email folder. Something similar to how the email works where you can have separate folders for different email addresses.

Any ideas?

Upgrading to OS version 4.2, yes. See the Sticky Note at the top of this 8700 section for details to decide if you want that.

Thank you - is that 4.2 download the correct one for Cingular/ATT? Seems as most posts reference Verizon.

Follow the instructions specifically as written. Backup your BB first, and sync too. Read the thread--some users DON'T like the 4.2 OS for the 8700, some do. You will need to decide for yourself if you want it for that one feather of separated SMS messages.

on my 8703 all you have to do is, when you are in your messages inbox....select options....then select general options...scroll to very bottom and change option for "SMS and Email Inboxes" change from "them controlled" to "separate". That will give you a seperate icon for SMS only. Hope this helps.

Yep....but one has to be on OS 4.2 first as the others above have described.
