Do you have a blackberry data plan through your service provider?

EDIT: I see answer to my question in another thread.

You tell your provider you want it and have it added to your account. You will need the blackberry specific data plan in order to have the blackberry services(i.e. BIS).

Take a look through blackberryfaq.com if you haven't already.

EDIT: don't know if you will be able to add data service to a pay-as-you-go plan. Someone will comment on that, I hope. I doubt you will be able to do it.

As a general comment, I am reading a lot of cases where people have problems with devices purchased on ebay.

That's the other shoe that hasn't dropped yet, perhaps. Let's hope the OP is one of the lucky ones.
