Please Login to Remove!

so i dropped my 8830 on the carpet and the battery popped out.

put the battery back in, and now it wont turn back on

the led blinks 4 times quickly, turns off for 4 seconds, then blinks 4 times again, so on and so forth

i hold down the power button (top left of phone) for at least 10 seconds and nothing.

any ideas how to get this thing back on?

hmmm... pull the battery again, and make SURE it is replaced soldily. Dropping a BB on carpet should not break it.

Wirelessly posted (7250: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109)

No obvious damage to it?

You must of dropped it from 20 feet up... Getting the cover off for me on the 8830 is hard. I have accidently thrown it across the room and the cover stayed on (dont ask).. My treo on the other hand if it dropped everything would come out... You sure you didnt drop it from 20 feet up into a bucket of water?

Anyways I recommend getting a silicon skin for your new one, I find the BB is slippery to hold without it, so far with the silicon skin I have yet to drop it since its sooo much easier to hold onto, plus you can hardly tell you have a case on.
