I just had my BB charging via the AC adapter while I was sleeping. Sure enough, I wake up to a big thump -- my cat decided to play hockey with my BB sending it off of my nite stand and onto the floor.

I go to turn it on from standby mode, and it works -- nothing looks like its damaged. However, I put the the charger back into the BB, and no plug icon appears on the top part of the screen. I find this odd, so I immediately try my USB charger, and unfortunately, it won't charge.

I took the battery out for a good 5 mins or so, but it didn't help.

But when I use the USB cable, my mac recognizes it and I'm able to access it's memory card. I'm also able to use my syncing software.

Any ideas? Maybe I've never recognized this, but when the battery is 100% charged, does the plug icon disappear? Shrug. I'm lost.

Look at the port on your BB. Can you see all five pins at the end of the port

Yep, I can see all five.

My first BB, bought in early September, decided to randomly die, so Verizon replaced it within the 30day period. This second BB probably needs replacing, too. Ugh, at least I'm in the new 30 day grace period.

Yes, the plug icon disappears when the battery is fully charged. You can check your battery status in Options >Status.

It's at 100%. Hopefully I just never realized that the plug icon disappears when it's fully charged.

Thanks for the replies... I rely on my BB a lot these days, so perhaps I was just in panic mode. ;)
