On two separate occasions, two different BlackBerry 8700, displayed a battery image with a line through the battery, after being charged.

The BlackBerry 8700 is effectively rendered non useable, thereafter.

Taking the battery out, and, reinserting the battery back did not help.

Putting in a new battery also did not help.

The Blackberry is non responsive and is 'dead'.

The power outlet is the same one that has been charging many other phone models, Nokia, Motorola, etc, for over 4 months.

No other phone or other Blackberries have experienced this problem, ie charging from the same outlet and experiencing the same 'Battery in image' with the BlackBerry rendered 'dead'.

How you heard of other similar incidents. Is there something that can be pursued to assist in isolating the problem.
