Default Changing Jobs and need to save the address book

Please Login to Remove!

Looking for some help. I'm changing jobs and would like to take my BB7290 address book and back it up someplace. The intention is to buy a new BB in the 8000 series with the new company. I then want to download my contact to the new BB. Would really appreciate any help./.

My home PC does not have outlook (It does, but it's not working for some reason).
I use Gmail as my primary e-mail.
Also use AOL.

Thanks
Jim

You could install the Desktop Manager and create a backup of the BlackBerry, then restore the backup to the new BlackBerry when you get it.

That simple??? The back-up will go into any BB device? My current device has lotus notes on it and is working through a BB server. Will that make a difference?

So you are on BES... you didn't say that.

If it is the current company's property, you will want to ask their permission.

Thanks for that. I do not think the company will have a problem with that. What other methods are there to back up the address book to the home PC?

As long as it's ok with the company, it's still that simple.

You can also go into Address Book >Options and turn off wireless sync. Then sync with Outlook on a PC.

You can try a new free service (now in beta) to wirelessly sync your BB. You can try it at StashM: Your Phone Online and In Sync.
