Default 8800 as modem via bluetooth in Leopard

Please Login to Remove!

I have seen that this is possible but i am having trouble with the pairing stage of the process. When i pair it with my Mac i get no option to use it as a modem. It just says it found no services configurable with this device. It happens with the 8700 as well.

Anyone know why this is happening? how i can remedy it?

The info you are looking for is on fribble.org. Start here with how to download the appropriate modem script for the 8800 for leopard Updated Modem Scripts for OS X 10.5 (Leopard) - Fibble.org. After that, or if you don't have leopard, go here for step by step instructions forums.fibble.org :: View topic - HOWTO: Use your 8800 as a Bluetooth Modem with your Mac. If you are a tmobile user, the instructions in the link referenced in the previous sentence are off a bit - the user name is "guest" and the password is "guestguest". I have used this successfully with a Powerbook G4 running tiger and a macbook running leopard. Good luck!
