Default 8830 backlight sensor

Hi,

It seems that when I take my 8830 out of the holster during bright daylight, the brightness does not increase to make the screen readable in daylight. I end up having to press the power button twice in order to get the full brightness.

The sensor seems to work fine in other conditions, eg., indoors.

Is this normal?

Menu>options>Screen/Keyboard (backlight brightness is it set to 100%?) Also the sensor is behind the LED light, If you are covering or shading that with your hand or fingers it will thinking it is much darker out and only use a low lighting level. You also try disabling Auto backlight.

Good Luck!
