Default Messenger Issues

Please Login to Remove!

We use BB Messenger frequently, I have a daily issue where the new Messenger Icon is displayed and will not go away on my 8700G. I have had the issue in the past when there are pending notifications of requests, but I have none, completely removing the battery seems to resolve the issue... However, I am having to remove the battery daily to resolve this issue.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I've not encountered that. Maybe its been discussed here, don't know, but search if you haven't already.

One thought: if you are still running 4.1, what do you think of upgrading to 4.2?

There are newer versions (see sticky....and TMO has .107 if you prefer to get from there). Keep in mind this is just a guess on my part along the lines of which would I rather do, wipe and reinstall OS or upgrade.
