I will be turning in my 8703e for a new 8830 and am wondering what the best way is to completely wipe out the data in it? and do a reset?

You can do a security wipe which will essentially reset the device back to factory defaults. You will then need to go into applications and remove any 3rd party apps. Also remove any BIS accounts you have setup for the device.

To do a security wipe do the following:

go into options > security options > general settings, click the trackwheel and select wipe handheld.

Menu>options>Security>General Settings>Menu>Wipe Handheld.

Search for JL_Cmder for a more complete scrubbing.

Remove BIS accounts using the setup internet email icon or by going to the BIS site for your carrier and deleting them.
