Default After OS upgrade on 8703e,VZW - Messages

Please Login to Remove!

Now that I have upgraded the OS on my 8703e (4.2.1.106), I have re-established 1 BIS account and 1 BES connection. Now when messages come arrive at my BIS account, they are listed in the general messages folder and NOT the POP/BIS account for which it was destined. This makes it harder to visually sort thru BES and BIS emails.

I know that ultimately all messages (bes, bis, sms) will be listed in Messages, but I still want to be able to click my BIS account icon and see JUST those messages. This was happening before the OS upgrade mind you, on the OLD OS version.

I do notice under Messages, Options, General Options - a new selection for 'SMS and Email Inboxes' where the choices are Combined, Seperate or Theme Controlled. Not sure if this is affected it or not though.

Also, I first installed my BIS account and messages *were* in BOTH the Messages and POP account icons. It wasnt until after I activated BES that my POP emails stopped showing up in the BIS account icon and only in the Messages icon.

Hope this isnt too long winded or confusing. Thanks.

Not confusing. I'm on BIS only, and don't have your issue. And you say it was fine until you activated on BIS? What if anything does BES admin say?

Unfortunately, the BES admin is clueless. He inherited it from a previous employee and can only do the most basic of admin tasks, such as add users, reset pwd's, etc.

Well, I know zip about BES, but from what you say it sure seems that's where to look. At least I'm bumping your issue up to the top.

I'm only on BES so I cannot speak for the BIS portion. The SMS and Email Inboxes combines all inboxes into one, SMS and Email. Seperated will put my SMS and email into seperate boxes. Theme Controlled and Combined puts them all into the same box. It may be what is causing your issue.
