Default 8800 rebooting, restarting, freezing (problem finally fix)

Please Login to Remove!

I had my TMO8800 for about 4 months without any problem, it all started when I switching from

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.1.168 (Chinese) SmarTone-Vodafone

to

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.1.179 (Chinese) SmarTone-Vodafone

I experience freezing, rebooting problem which I never had before, reboot can be in the middle of web surfing, email, pull the BB out of the holster, or it just sitting idle, when I look inside event log(shift + lglg), I have the (bolded) error message, e net.rim.tunnel stcr-00000021, everytime I do a battery pull and it keep coming back.

What I try so far is do a clean install of desktop manager 4.2.2 sp2, all different version of OS and the OEM tmobile OS ,without any modification to the cod and ALX file or anything, no 3rd party apps or any extra, but on each install, I restore all my info from the backup.

I also get a new sim card, remove microsd card, clean the battery contact, and problem still exist.

Finally last night, I did a clean install OS without restore my info from backup, and all the symptom went away, and the BB also respond a lot faster than before.

I believe the problem is in my backup, it is about two years old from my 1st BB, 7105t and than I switch to 7290>8700g>8800 and on each BB, I did multiply backup>restore>backup>restore>backup>restore>backu p>restore, so the backup data is either corrupted or whatever data from the 7105t 4.0 OS get install on my 8800 and causing a conflicts.

Now, I just redo my modify alx, cod files, add back bblight, xplayer and viigo plus the APN setting, machine still rock solid and fast(just like a fresh install of windows OS).

Hope the above information might help whoever experience the same problem.
