Smile 8700c Not vibrating in holster

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have a weired issue: I have two 8700c holsters. Why should one of these makes the Blackberry vibrate when receiving a message (or whatever profile event is set for vibrating while on holster) while the other holster does not?

Thanks

Mauricio

Does one holster have the magnet and the other not?

I see both have the magnet. I also can tell the handheld's screen shuts off when in both holsters.

I don't have a clue, then. Are both holsters the standard 8700 series plastic deal? If not, how are they different as well as different from each other?

There is something wrong with the magnet in the holster. I just found out that when the phone is in the display will stay on. Initially I tested with the back side of the holster on top of the phone keyboard.

I am having the same problem -- and I even got them to exchange my bb for a new one today. Which isn't vibrating either! I think they gave me the old holster back -- could that be the issue?
