I hit the mute key because I always put my phone on standby all the time. Saves battery life.

A simple software fix for the accidental press of the so called "convenience key", would be to force the user to press it twice to activate it...gee, after so many complaints, you'd think some brainchild over at RIM would have thought about that??? I must hit that stupid button 1- times a day while removing the BB from my holster -- and I need it for Bluetooth, since there's no other easy way to activate it during a call.
