so im with us cellular and was thinking about buying the 8830 but if i do not add the internet for $20 more a month will i still be able to use gps does anyone know? thanks

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan to use GPS mapping applications.

sorry but what exactly does that mean? I have a plan right now through us cellular but no internet plan.

You need a specific BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned on our account.
It's like an internet plan, made especially for BlackBerry devices.
It's required if you want to use GPS navigation software.

You need to call US Cellular and have them add the plan to your account.
It's probably about $30.00 per month.
