Default Received Using Unknown BIS

Please Login to Remove!

I use BIS only, and have two gmail accounts that come directly to my bb. The first one is fine and working perfectly. A few days ago I started having issues with the second one-i.e. the email comes to the bb but doesn't seem to find it's way into its proper folder anymore. No biggie right? Saw a similar thread on here and it said to resend the service books. Well I did, and now ALL the emails are gone from that folder. What in the Sam Hill is going on here? I'm super anal retentive so this is driving me up a wall. Please help.

Such as what folders? Where does the mail on the second account get sent to?
It should go to the main message folder as well as the email specific folder labeled with that address. Do you have sub-folders beyond that?

I don't have any subfolders. The emails on the second account had been going to the messages folder and then to the appropriate mail folder-i.e.-terita's work folder. now, the work emails just go to the messages folder and sit there, received using unknown. and now I have two work folder icons on my desktop after a useless conversation with a t-mobile rep.

Haven't seen it, but if it were me, I'd delete the service books for accounts, delete the accounts in BIS, wait awhile, then add the accounts back to BIS. Total SWAG. I have no idea. But that is what I would try.

Where is the "terita's work folder" located, is that an email folder?

No, I have not seen this issue, but then again it may be just that it has not been explained clearly for me to understand. ALL your messages should go to your main messages folder, AND the individual folder. If they are not also going to the specific email folder, I would first pull the battery (while powered on) and then replace the battery to reboot the device, and see if it works.

You can always delete all your service books, reboot the BB, and resend them again.

My bad..... Pulling battery is first thing to do when having problems.

Do you think the "Folder" he is talking about is the Icon view you receive for each account? Perhaps, those have been moved and now he is just looking directly at the main messages folder???

thats exactly what happened to me, you got it.

t-mob is telling me to reload my software, and that doing so MIGHT restore my emails to the proper folders. I give up.

By on your desktop, I hope you mean BlackBerry homescreen?

Even if you have sent new service books... do it again. Back up your BB first with Desktop Manager. Delete the present service book and wait a while, then re-add them from TMo BIS site.

Terita, are you simply resending service books? Or did you delete the service book and the account in BIS and then set it up again a little while later?

When I lost everything, I pulled the battery first, then resent the service books.

Then, the next few times, I deleted the account, waited about half an hour and redid everything and resent the service books.

the first time I did it this way, it kicked the messages that were in the folder out. the second, third and fourth time I did it, everything stayed the same.

Yes, to the doberman's advice. You really need to be thorough with this, and yes it can be frustrating if it is not working.

It might take twice or thrice to get it right...

1. Delete service books at Options > Advanced > Service books.
2. Pull the battery to reboot.
3. Go have a glass of Pinot Grigio or a beer. Finish it. Pour another.
4. Go to the BIS site and re-add the Service Books.
5. Do the HRT register described in the link above, on your BB.
6. Pull the battery YET once again and let it reboot.
7. While rebooting, finish the 2nd beer or glass of vino.
8. What happened?

**EDIT, I just read you seem to have done this like 3-4 times already. I don't know.

The issue IS THIS?--you are NOT getting your Gmails sent to the INDIVIDUAL folders? Is the folder present and still empty? I know this may all be redundant to you, but I am simply wanting to make sure I am clear.

@thatzmister-get in line lol, everyone is telling me if you guys can't fix it then it can't be fixed.

@jsanders-that is exactly it. its coming to the messages folder but not populating the gmail folder. the folder is there, just empty. nothing redundant about it if it helps get the problem solved. I will redo everything again and come back and let you know what happened.

Ok, not that i want to burn you out in things to check. If you go into the applications list and hit Menu>Show all (How many email icons do you see?) Are their duplicates? If not if you go into the Empty email Icon and hit Menu>Options>Message Services (Is it set the the proper account Gmail, etc. if not select and choose the right account and then Menu>Save

just shooting in the dark here... maybe...?

ok jsanders...nothing changed. I did enjoy my beers.
thatzmister...the message options were already set to the work email address.

right now I'm about to restore to the last date that the email worked (11/25), and then I'm going to forward the emails from yesterday and today back to myself.
