Default Unlock the Browser on 8820

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know how to unlock the browser so that you can set your homepage. I am with AT&T and my browser will not let me change the startup page to anything other than what is set by default.

Thanks

So if you go to Browser > Options > Browser Configuration it won't let you change the address at the bottom of that page?

Is your BlackBerry connected to a BES?

If you go to Browser > Options > Browser Configuration, the first line allows you to select the browser for which you are changing the configuration. On my 8820 (BES), I have 4 choices: MediaNet, Internet Browser, Blackberry Browser, and Wi-Fi Browser.

I can change the homepage for any of these, EXCEPT the MediaNet browser. I don't believe that can be changed.

The OP probably has his default browser set to MediaNet. OP -- you can change the default browser to another browser and then change that browser's home page to whatever you want.

My BB 8820 is not connected to BES and I am not subscribed to any BB data plans. And when I go to Browser>Options>Browser Configuration I am not allowed to change the browser type, I have only Wi-Fi browser. How can I change the Wi-Fi browser to Internet Browser or Opera?

If you don't have a BlackBerry data plan then you won't be able to use the BlackBerry Internet Browser. And you won't be able to set the Opera Browser there either. You will just need to open Opera when you want to use it.
