Default Sounds like phone is always on speakerphone

When I talked to people on my 8830 they tell me it sounds like I'm on speakerphone but I'm not. I can often hear myself talk through the phone and its really annoying. Is this some weird setting somewhere or does it sound like the phone may be defective?

^already did that, volume is almost as low as it can go. Still have people telling me it sounds like I'm on speakerphone.

Might want to take it back and have VZW look at it.

I agree, take it Verizon ... The mic is sensitive, however I think you might have a defective unit.

So I took the phone to verizon today and b/c it is only a week old they replaced the phone with a new unit. Phone still sounds exactly the same. Still sounds like the mic is over sensitive. I'm going to try calling from one of my co-workers phones (all have 8830s) and see if it is any differnet or if that is just how the phone is going to be. I've had several people tell me now that they can't anything I'm saying b/c there is so much background noise. in the car with the radio off and windows up my g/f said it sounds like I'm driving with the windows down and a semi right next to me.
Should I go back to verizon again? possible I got another defective phone?
