Exclamation VZNav doesn't play well with Google Maps

Please Login to Remove!

If anyone is having issues with VZNav acquiring GPS location, I've noticed that running google maps ANYTIME after booting the device will render VZnav useless (unable to obtain a location fix).

Thankfully I've also found that if you modify application permissions for Google Maps to deny access to GPS location information, it will no longer affect VZnav's ability to operate (of course a reboot is required to put the new permissions into effect). This was based on v2.9.8 build 140.

Hope this helps!

While it would be very nice of verizon to give us access to the GPS receiver, they still have not. For whatever reason the "GPS blocking mechanism" thats used to block Google maps, once activated appears to interfere with VZNav as well! Thankfully a reboot resets the condition.
