However, when configuring the connection settings in my Desktop Manager, I detect nothing which makes using this software impossible. The Latitiude uses Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module with Microsoft certified drivers. No matter what I try, the Desktop Manager will not detect my 8830. The USB connection works properly and I have upgraded to version 4.3 after I could not get 4.2.2 to work. Anybody have any suggestions or I am SOL? |
Dear HMI Guy,
I was successfully able to use Bluetooth with the Dell Latitude D820 (both for Desktop synch and Tethering). Just like you, I had the same issues where my device was not being detected by the Desktop Manager (after confirming many times that it was paired up). I deleted the Toshiba stack for BT and used the standard Windows Drivers (XP SP2), the device I am using is vzw 8830, desktop Manager version 4.2.1.8.
Can you please confirm:
- What OS are you using (XP SP2)?
- Desktop Manager > Under Options > Connection Settings > Have you Enabled Bluetooth Support?
Thanks,
