Unhappy Blackberry Messenger....help!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

i just downloaded and installed the bbmessenger onto my blackberry 7280 because my girlfriend has a blackberry pearl 8100 that also has the bbmessenger. I tried to add her from the PIN, but she did not recieve and request and on the contact list, it says she is pending. Then she tried to add me, and i did not recieve a request to add. What are we doing wrong here?

Do you all have the BlackBerry data plans on your accounts? Can you send each other regular PIN messages?

It is free but you need a BB data plan to use this service.

I believe the BlackBerry Messenger requires a BlackBerry data plan in order to work, as I believe it uses PIN messages in order to communicate, and PIN messages are reliant on a BlackBerry data plan.

No. The BlackBerry data plan will cover the messaging. I would go with an unlimited data plan if available. That way you can get e-mails and use the BlackBerry browser and other programs that use the BlackBerry data plan.
