Default Full 4GB Media Card = Very Slow BB OS

Please Login to Remove!

My 4GB Micro SD card is full with MP3s. I noticed since I put all these MP3s on the media card the blackberry OS is very slow. Everything from opening emails, opening the celendar, and even scrolling through text. When I turn off Media Card support through the tools menu my blackberry goes back to normal and the OS is no longer slow.

Does anyone have this issue? Why would the media card cause the OS to come to a crawl? I hope there is a solution for this. I think I now see why I can't yet sell my ipod.

Any responses are appreciated.

Thanks

It should not slow the system down. I would ask if you pulled the battery lately but I am sure you have. Check and see what else is running in the background.

check that you dont have the MP3 player running in the background itself.

How do you check to see what's running in the background?

From the main screen hit the menu key and select "Switch Application." That will show all the apps running. Mail, Home Screen, Browser, BBMessenger, and Phone will always be running. Anything else should be closed if you're not using it.
