Default How do I upload pictures (.jpg) to my 7290

Please Login to Remove!

Purchased an unlocked 7290 whic appears to be functioning just fine.
There is a tab on the desktop for pictures which contains some backgrounds.
I thought media manager would allow me to find JPG.s on my desktop and upload but when I run MM ( currently running 4.3 - but same issue with 4.2) it cant find the files on the desktop and says it can't see the BB either.

Sooo how do I upload jpg?

Oh - I do not have a data plan - I am going to use this as a PDA and take it out of the country with a mobal.com sim card - which just charges me for minutes used

Thanks in advance

Hi, I just picked up a 7290 as well.

The only software I've found so far which allows direct transfer from the PC to BB via USB was GTPhoto. I've downloaded the demo and gave it a try...it's straight forward and easy to use. Problem with the demo is it only allows you to preview the image on the BB, but it doesn't save it to memory. The full version of the program costs $20.

I'm not sure if there's any freeware that will do this, but here's the link for GTPhoto, GTPhoto for BlackBerry

No prob.

I actually just found this 'how to' on how to transfer them another way. I just gave it a try and after sometime getting familiar with the simulator, I was able to successfully load some pictures on my phone. Supposedly you can do ring tones as well, but I haven't tried that yet.
