Default Upload to 8830 from camera?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way, either via cable (or better yet bluetooth) to upload pictures from a digital camera to my 8830?

I love my 8830, but I am looking for a fix for the lack of camera. If I could get the pictures to the 8830 while on the road, I could upload them. I can't even FIND a camera that is still in production that supports bluetooth, and I don't know if it would even work. But I would even settle for a USB solution if it worked.

Smile Yes

Yes, I do it all the time through Desktop Manager 4.3 and the Roxio media manager. Click on the image and click edit and PhotoSuite9 will appear and you can edit as you please. But it would be smart to resize the images to 320x240, there is no reason to have it at a bigger size, the quality is no better also.

Now if you don't have a PC, and you have an Espon printer (mine RX595) were you can edit through the menu, save it back to your microSD card.

But is there any way to go right from the camera to the 8830? I want to be able to upload pictures while I am on the road without whipping out the laptop.
I want to be able to take a pic on the road and upload it to my blog without having to whip out the laptop.

The actual goal is not to get pictures on to the 8830, that I know how to do. The goal is to get pictures to my blog without firing up the laptop.

Can your digital camera use a microSD card? If so you could swap cards when you want to transfer the pictures.

Thanks Doug.
I thought of that, but I had two concerns. First, the microSD card has a specific layout, do I need to adhere to that? The camera almost certainly wouldn't. For example the photo's are in a directory called "Photo", or something like that, I dont recall off hand. Second, the SD card holder in the 8830 seems so delicate, and I am SO heavy handed. Every time I touch it, I feel like I need to say "Hey guys! Watch me break my phone!", although I haven't broken it yet.

And third, turns out there were three, its too cumbersome. I was hoping for something like:
Take the picture with the camera.
Transfer wirelessly to phone
Upload photo to blog

But this would be:
Take picture with camera
Remove the little card
drop the card
find the card
You displace the little dog (with a nod to nethack)
replace card in phone
wait for phone to boot
upload photo to blog
remove the little card
replace the little card
wait for phone to boot

:(

now whats the fun in that!?

Naa, I don't like the 81xx series. I am loving my 8830, if I cant resolve this, then so be it. Actually, I am thinking of picking up the new Sony UX490. So I could tether that automagically to my 8830 and upload to my blog from the Sony. Still a bit circuitous, but I do loves me my 8830, so that may be the way to go.
