Are there keyboard shortcuts on the 8830 for the two follow?

1. To lock the keyboard

2. To lock the "alt" key, say if you are typing a lot of numbers in a text file.

To lock the keyboard: Atl + Return

I don't know about locking the Alt key, however.

You do Alt+Left Shift for num lock. Alt+Right Shift is caps lock...

I have not see anything on the 8830 but I am sure the shortcuts of the curve should work. Give it a shot and see what happens.

If dialing from home screen is turned off, you can press K to lock the keyboard.
